LafargeHolcim Bangladesh wins 'SDG Brand Champion Award 2024' for the second year in a row

LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited (LHBL) has been awarded the ‘SDG Brand Champion Awards 2024’ for second year in a row. This year LHBL won the award under the category ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’. 39 sustainable brand initiatives out of 357 submissions were awarded in the 2nd edition of AkijBashir Group Presents SDG Brand Champion Awards in Association with Intellier and The Daily Star, held at Le Méridien Dhaka on September 10, 2024.

The SDG Brand Champion Award 2024 were presented across 9 distinct categories covering the full spectrum of 17 sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and their relevance to Bangladesh. The winners were chosen through a rigorous multi-step evaluation process which includes an initial screening of nominations followed by reviews by grand jury panels. In 2023 LHBL won the ‘SDG Brand Champion Award’ under the categories ‘Affordable & Clean Energy’ and ‘Sustainable Community Development’.

The SDG Brand Champion Awards stands as a testament to the exceptional contributions of the organizations that have committed themselves to the advancement of the SDGs and serve to inspire and encourage others to follow in the footsteps.
