As Bangladesh advances toward smart, climate-resilient and sustainable urbanization, recognizing the brilliance and dedication of our engineering community is vital. Through this award program, LHB aims to foster innovation, promote green construction practices and empower both seasoned professionals and emerging engineering minds to set new benchmarks in structural and environmental excellence. Furthermore, LHB is committed to leveraging its global expertise to seamlessly connect local engineering talent with world-class, modern technologies."
The award program feature four categories: High Performing Concrete Structure, Advanced Concrete Technology & Circularity and the Legendary Structural Engineer Award, each recognizing a single winner, alongside the Next Generation/Visionary Design category, which will honor 10 emerging talents to celebrate innovation, technical mastery and future-ready engineering leadership. Additionally, one recipient among the category winners will be bestowed with the prestigious Grand Winner title.
To ensure technical rigor and standard evaluation metrics, the competition for awards follows five distinct phases. The program begins with Phase 1: Launch & Call for Submissions, which marks the official launch of the award program and the opening of the nationwide online registration portal for entries. This is followed by Phase 2: Submission Phase, where participating engineers submit their comprehensive technical dossiers, structural drawings, sustainability impact reports and project verification credentials. Next, Phase 3: Shortlisting involves an initial screening and preliminary evaluation to verify compliance and technical eligibility. The evaluation then moves to Phase 4: Jury Screening & Final Selection, featuring a comprehensive evaluation, presentations by the candidates and independent scoring conducted by an elite external Jury Panel. Finally, the competition concludes with Phase 5: Winner Selection & Grand Gala Event, where the final scoring tally determines the awardees, leading up to a nationwide Grand Gala Event in Dhaka to honor and award the winners with prestigious trophies and accolades.
