LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Reports BDT 2,797 Million Profit After Tax in Q3, 2026 (Jan-Sept)

  • Nine-month revenue increased by 6% to BDT 23,016 million: strong rebound driven by strategic pricing realignment and robust demand for value-added products.

  • Nine-month Operating EBIT down by 19% to BDT 3,497 million, and Profit after tax by 21% to BDT 2,797 million due to elevated energy and production costs.

  • Aggregates business successfully leveraged its distinct market positioning to increase prices, sustain healthy margins, and provide a stable operational baseline.

Mr. Iqbal Chowdhury, CEO of the company said:

LafargeHolcim Bangladesh delivered a resilient nine-month performance through its commitment to innovation and operational excellence, despite increased costs due to the conflict in the Middle East and constrained demand due to a slowdown in the domestic economy. While these macroeconomic headwinds pressured margins, our specialized product portfolio - including Holcim Water Protect, Supercrete Plus and Coastal Guard - continued its strong performance, reinforcing our market leadership and consumer trust. In parallel, our Aggregates business delivered superior performance with growth in pricing reflecting its high value to our customers.

Geocycle, the sustainable waste management arm of LHB, achieved significant results, co-processing more than 31,000 tons of non-recyclable waste and achieving ~10% fossil fuel replacement with alternative fuels to drive both environmental stewardship and operational efficiency. To navigate current market volatility, we have proactively implemented rigorous cost-efficiency measures and strategic pricing reviews”
